My Julie McCracken “roundie” was a special gift from my sweetheart, who asked Julie to create a piece that would memorialize the many layers of feelings I had about turning 50. Turns out my geode-inspired roundie has been an appropriate metaphor for aging – every day when I look at it, I find something new to appreciate, some fresh response I didn’t expect. Thank you Jules – this piece means a lot to me.
